Windthorst 7th Grade 0, City View 20

The Windthorst Spartans 7th grade football team played their first game of the season Thursday September 12 against City View. The Spartans fought hard throughout the game but ended up losing to the City View Mustangs 20-0. Despite the score, the Spartans possessed the ball offensively for the majority of the game and moved the ball down the field on multiple possessions. Some untimely penalties and a couple of mistakes at key moments kept the Spartans from scoring on a couple of
drives deep into Mustang territory. Hunter Wolf led the way for the Spartans offensively and was the leading rusher. Colton Bates also ran the ball well for the Spartans. Playing well defensively were Blaine Martin, Cash McIlroy, and Fabian Vasquez. The Spartans will next play Millsap at Home on Thursday September 19.
