Earning college credit in high school

Windthorst students may earn college credit in the following ways:

AP Test
A student enrolled in AP English, AP Calculus, or AP History may take the AP exam in May. If the student scores a 3, 4, or 5, they may earn credit for that course. The number of hours they earn and the course they receive the credit for varies from college to college.

Distance Learning
Currently we offer 3 courses through Vernon College via ITV. These courses are all dual credit courses in which the student earns both college credit and high school credit. Government, Economics and English are the courses offered at this time.

SHAC Meeting February 8, 2012

The School Health Advisory Council met on Feb. 8, 2012 in the high School library. The next scheduled meeting is set for Wed. March 7, 2012 at 6:30 PM in the high school library.
